Thanks man. It took freaking forever.

Literally weeks of laying coat after coat of clear whenever I was at my folks' place. And then like a month to cure.

Looking good, Mike. Just the other day I was wondering where you were at with this project. Waiting for stuff to dry and cure is the toughest part.

Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeetness.

That is the thinnest skin I've seen, but I still enjoy it. i like the clear, too, looks deep.

Absolutely gorgeous!

I'm glad you used a paint that lets you see the wood underneath. That body has some of the nicest ash grain I've ever seen!

Agreed, it's so nice to see some decent grain shining through.

Great work on quite a laborious affair!

Looks wonderful - that finish looks perfect. I wouldn't have thought transparent white with tort would work, but it looks spectacular. Can't wait to see it all together.
Does it just need assembly and setup now?

Thanks guys, much appreciated. The waiting is always the hardest part.

Yep it just needs a weekend for me and my Dad to put it together, then I'll squirrel it away to do the electronics. Hopefully within a month!

That finish is A-mazing Mike - seriously, so beautiful. Am well jealous. Taking your time has really paid off.

Cheers buddy. Grain is not usally my thing, but Robert chose me such a nice piece of wood.

It would have been a crime to cover it.

Nice Mike, i like your choices, like the 3-way switch and Duo bridge. It will make for a good workhorse guitar. Look forward to demos.
Oh, good job on the patience too. I could not wait that long!

I made a video with crappy cam mic audio, which is processing.

I'm so happy with it. Thanks again Robert, big love!

Cheers, it's more white than those flash photos do it justice but it's minging out. I'll take some natural light photos next time it isn't raining.

Part of me thinks I'll refinish it black one day but it'll definitely stay trans-white for a year or so since it's just a lovely piece of wood.
