you guys don't realize that rods pinupstang has the best feeling neck and contours EVER!
srsly!
i have played maybe... 15 vintage stangs, 10 vintage jags and 6-8 vintage jms
and the overall feel of this guitar is top fucking notch, i know thats why he has kept it so long.
it is honestly the best feeling compstang i have ever played and if that feel was converted into jag terms i would have already bought it, hands down.
its hard to convey the feeling of a guitar thru pics, but this one, i can assure you, is the best.
if anyone wants to challenge this idea i shall drive to thier house and they can try to disprove me, but if wrong, they must pay for gas and buy me food and beer.
(btw, rodvonbon, already bought me food and beer, plus playing his vintage collection so.... watch out.)

I also just bought a competition fiesta red body and neck that should be coming in the mail next week and I got my '74 with the paint stripped off from my parents basement. I'm contemplating either stripping the '74 or the '69 reissue to assemble the red guitar. I might just be patient and buy parts here and there. I kind of want to put a black pickguard on it so it will have Blackhawks colors.
Life is "Pointless......but manageable"
It's funny that this thread is back up. I just got done taking stock in my guitars and a half assed set of pictures. There have been some additions and a couple of basses are gone. Most of them are the same guitars everyone has seen before, but the new ones are pretty cool. I will resize the pics tomorrow and post them.James wrote:Despite realising that Fenders aren't really my thing, this thread still managed to make me want a comp stang.
