it's worrying to know that no profession is safe. I'm just about to switch jobs and i don't know if thats a good idea or bad in this day and age.

No worries guys. Am not particularly bummed about it at the moment - I'm on payroll until the end of November when the migration to poland should be finished. After that...I don't know, either take the money and run, or there is a chance I can take a 12 month contract going back to being a project manager which would delay my redundancy - which may be a plan given the current climate.
Either way, the amp is great

Ok - the footswitch cable for the HT-5 is really short so I tried it with my Orange footswitch so that I could stand more than 12cm away from the amp and still switch channels...this did not work...
Does anyone know what is special about the Blackstar footswitch?
Why would the amp not accept a normal latching switch?

Do you have a multimeter? Could you take some pictures of the jack end of the lead?
This is it Thanks Mike.Mike wrote:Might be momentary?
I checked it with the momentary switch I use for tap tempo on the RC-2 and it works just fine.
I'm going to need to replace the lead with a jack socket, because it's really far too short - barely reaches the ground when on top of the two 1x12s and the Rockerverb.
Jack is stereo by the way.
