aaaand using the above data and some googling (a few guitars were omitted since i couldn't find scale lengths) i made a tasy little graph. i then drew all over it since it looked too much like it should be on a powerpoint presentation.

Well currently my main is this:

Image

Since I've had a falling out with the Franken-sonic. I just can't get on with that skinny ass jagmaster neck anymore so I'm moved onto my `51. I love the fatty telecaster neck, but the strat body feels a bit to large for me. Once I'm done working on my Gibson LP, I assume that will be my go to but until then the `51 gets the job done.

I'm pretty picky for a fledgling guitarist.

lately, it's this bear....

Image

we built her ourselves, so she's american made!!!!

but when i need to get fancy i pull out the sunburst gibson firebird. if i don't say she's my number #1, she might get reposessed by my girlfriend (it was an awful nice first anniversary present)

live it's the sunburst jaguar hh, or a supersonic, or a cyclone, or a silver sparkle jagmaster with seymour duncan p-rails, a hagstrom viking, or a agile harm...

yes, it's true. it's pretty much impossible to get them all in one frame. i had to count again. 23 electrics. 3 acoustics (one archtop, one electric acoustic). 1 guitar is at my bass players for writing purposes, and 1 is at the studio as my friend is using it to record, 1 is in maine at my old drummers. i keep it there for when we jam, but i'm bringing it back here in august to trade for another tele... so there's 20 in this shot:

Image

getting them all out right now to take pictures would be a real pain in the ass!!!

here's the list, though...

electric:
squier 51
agile harm
hagstrom f-301
schecter pt
schecter tempest 12 string
schecter stargazer
fender jaguar hh (the sunburst one that came out last year)
eastwood stormbird
gibson firebird
2 fender cyclones
2 squier supersonics
hagstrom viking
2 eastwood hi-fliers
sx tele
jay turser strat
fender toronado
fender jagstang
squier jagmaster
teardrop we built
fender telecaster custom re-issue
frankenstein. this one you guys will laugh at. it was once a mustang. the lady i bought it off of you would have thought was a gypsy.

acoustic electric:
martin tawnywood dcx1e

acoustic:
carlo robelli
harmony monterry (archtop)

the list of what i had (this is gonna make me sad):
hagstrom iv
74 fender mustang (which has been hanging in guitar center cherry hill for ages)
early 90's fender mustang reissue
recent fender mustang reissue
black fender jaguar hh
fender telecaster deluxe reissue (will be mine again in august!!!)
gibson sg standard
gibson les paul studio
fender jazzmaster
gretsch electromatic
fender strat
squier 51
first act vw

this is making me too sad listing what i got rid of, there's a couple no name acoustics, and an epiphone thunderbird and a fender p bass.

okay, i hope you don't ask about amps and my pedal board...

teles. yes. schecter pt = super yes. although it is a diamond series, i still bust out the schecter pt quite often. i had a 50's re-issue back in the early 90's, i got rid of that pretty quick and jumped on...

Image

this one was my number one for a long time. ended up with a jb jr in the bridge. she's up in maine right now with my musical soulmate. he's been guarding her for years now. i bought a tele deluxe re-ish back last fall, but traded her for the cash for a fender supersonic combo amp. i was told if i retained my old tele that i would get the deluxe back. i've had three rondo sx teles in the past couple years just to get different tele sounds, but i only have one left, and that neck is way too baseball bat for me anymore... my pt has a rosewood fretboard, after that i would still look for them, and all i would find is maple, which for tele's i think gets a better, snappier response...

Fender Toronado

My first Fender, saved up the money ($520) working a summer job. this is my beater - my high school guitar  . gutted the electronics for a seymour duncan sh-6 in the bridge, then put a black ice cap in..eventually a push-pull coil split. been through a hell of a lot of stickers. i still deeply love this guitar and i'm in the process of getting it somewhat back to stock - i've got the old atomic neck pickup and now i just gotta get some pots and caps..anywho -THE PICTURES!!

My number one guitar is my surf green AVRI Jazzmaster. Many have come and gone before this guitar, but I've wanted a Jazzmaster since I was fifteen years old (some twenty years ago now - fuck that makes me feel old). Just before my daughter was born, I realised that it was either buy a Jazzmaster now, or when I next had a disposable income, which would be a minimum of eighteen years away. So, I sold two guitars, a shitload of pedals and a sizeable chunk of my record collection, and here it is...

I'm 6'4", so it feels like a proper sized guitar to me, it loves pedals, which suits me down to the ground, and it holds its tuning despite all my tremolo wibbling antics. I love it.

As I'm not likely to want to even pick up another guitar for quite some time, it's probably going to be this for quite a while
