come one usps! we all know you don't do shit on sundays and memorial day but 5-7 day post shouldn't mean "5-7 days, not counting sundays and all other known holidays"
Really hoping this thing will land tomorrow so i can knock a few coats out before work, THEN IM OFF ON FRIDAY YYEEEAAAH definitely hope it lands at least by friday.
i'd have expected it to be there by now. there's insurance on the parcel if anything goes awry, i'm sure it'll turn up soon enough though. bit annoying seeing as the service i used wasn't exactly cheap, and it did say 5-7 days... fuckers.

I'm thinking because of weekends and memorial day here in the US and maybe a bank holiday for you guys may have slowed things down. Monday will mark 7 business day.
i did get a tracking number but i think it only works while it's on our soil, as it were. i just checked and it says 'not trackable' which suggests it's either in the US or floating slowly to the bottom of the atlantic. i'd go for the former though.
That does look high but you don't have the pickguard on so that makes it look higher. I'll check my '78 when I get home this afternoon and see if it looks about the same. That's going to look really nice when you get everything finished.
glad it arrived safely, good stuff. strange about the neck height etc, pretty sure it wasn't as noticeable as that with the neck i have... i've stuck the original neck in the pockets of my 72 mustang and the 60s duo body i got from mage, and there's a gap like in your picture on both, maybe they just made them slightly too small in the late 70s.
It's obviously had a hard life but the things already damn near ready for a base coat of paint. One thing I'll have to look into is openig up the control routes as the pots are reeeaally snug in there. I'll also have to re-drill pickguard screw holes and the bottom four bridge screw holes.
yep, it looked like it'd seen service in the russian army when i got it...
i filled the guard holes as i was going to use the old style one on it, and the bottom bridge holes... well, that's where the strat trem was located, so there was a big void. some people have funny ideas.

Checked mine and the top of the pickguard is slightly higher than the crosshair of the truss rod. In other words it looks the same on mine with the pickguard off.
yeah, not to worry on the neck stuff. the bronco neck on the brostang looked like it would be too tall, but once you account for the pickguard, and the pickups, it'll come together nicely. plus consider that the neck will be somewhat sunk down against the body once tight. probably doesn't account for much, but as long as your scale is right...
Looks really nice. That really makes me want to get going on my Fiesta Red Musicmaster. But I have sworn an oath to finish the Baja Tele first. Luckly I am broke right now and can't move forward on it.

drill hole from bridge to control route for ground wire
drill pickguard holes
drill bridge mounting holes
reem tuner holes out 1mm to fit RI F tuners
drill tuner mounting screw holes rock
also picked up strap locks and a matching fender strap :3

Haze, where did you get the Musicmaster Bridge? Can't find one anywhere. I would rather not have to drill ferrules into a vintage body unless I have to use a toronado bridge.
