Really dunno what to make of these. The Jaguar isn't really particularly different to the Jagmaster, but is a very sexy colour.

The Jazz seems cool, is also a decent colour and the neck looks sexy. Why someone wouldn't want the tint I can't understand.

Input Jack looks stupid, but isn't that important at all.

All in all, we were foolish to really expect models like their Fender counterparts, with the main reason being that it would eat into the sales of those. I'd love the traditional floating bridges, but it was unlikely to happen really. At least these are new models, and not just more Strat/Tele variations. Squier is great in this respect at the moment, and we need to be glad for the cool gear they're currently making.

You should send this to Squier. They should hire you and let you design the guitars. Those are hot!

I don't care if the jack was on the prototype, there is a reason it never made it to production.

I vote for the hot rod editions!

Somebody wrote somewhere in this thread a comment along the lines of "they gave the jazzmaster neck a jersey shore tan?!? rabble. rabble rabble!"

that prompted my post asking why people were bitching about the tinted neck.

The bottom line here is, these guitars are fucking cool. I love them. I don't particularly love the strat jack, but it's definitely something that I could get over for a guitar this cool. That jazzmaster is definitely on my list of guitars that I want now!

Strat jack plate is the only downside for me. If I would have been asked what I would like to see from Squier for 2011, it would have been a 24" scale Fiesta Red hardtail guitar. So, win for me.
I'd order one today.
Put a tele bridge plate on it, BG1400 PU, set it up as an Esquire, make a new pickguard for it with no neck pickup and no three-way switch. Put the jack plate on the side or in the pickguard and slap a sticker over the Strat jack plate hole. Done.
Prediction on other colours? I'm hoping Daphne Blue Jaguar, too.

That's how much he thinks the Squier offsets will cost.

He believes that the guitars will not cost more than $300.
He then offers his guess at $350 (which is more than $300).
It's just a funny, silly, oops of a mistake.

Oh I though he was stating a range in which he thinks the guitars will cost. So anywhere from $300 to $350. Correct me if I am wrong.

The current Vintage Modified Strats and Tele's are $350, the Thinline is $300.

And yes, I know that the Jagmaster is $280.

Of course he was stating a range. It does seem likely they'll cost $300-350 and I can't see them costing more than that especially with the botched features.

My wording is awesome on this one.

I was saying they wouldn't be more than $350, but not less than $300. So, no more than $300 to $350. I know it's worded funny, but it's actually a common phrasing around here.

I see my mistake, thank you. It was with the dash, which could be read as both indicating a range (the intention), or separating two thoughts. My bad. I concede.
I will use this example with my students on Thursday.

I think everything we know about these is already known. I'm sure there will be more information after NAMM.
