Case after clearcoat, now curing in the BobAC suite
Image

Added flying leads and tested it. It sounds great, and bags of volume unlike the Reissues. It's a nasty bitch of an Octave Fuzz.

Will be building into the case as soon as it's cured.

I shall indeed endeavour to do so.

that is, without a doubt, the nicest looking pedal you've built.

I'll be watching the blender clone with much interest, can't wait to hear the demo. I know some people hate the sound but I think they sound ace in the right circumstances.

Mike - Have you built any treble boosters?

I haven't built one but they're simple circuits, just tweaks on standard Boost circuits, Benecol has recommended the Rangemaster more than once...

That pedal looks great, really looking forward to hearing it - I'm having impure thoughts about Fender Blenders and (primarily) Ampeg Scramblers this season...

Yah, that (rangemaster) and the Java Boost look cool. Do you know if you could build one of these two?

Oh, btw I got a track with fuzz you built me recorded. I'll send you so you can hear it in action.

Post it here mate, would be great to hear. I'll have a look into schematics of the Java Boost for you, the Rangemaster is definitely doable, and for cheap too.

The Fender Blender is done and demo'd

Apologies for the unusually uninspired playing (even for me). I'm in a fairly obvious funk.

Cheers. It's an absolute bastard to make. Probably about 6 man hours in the electronics alone

Yah, I'd post it here but I'm not sure how it's done.

Do you know if you could toss me a quote to do the rangemaster? I'd be all over it if it's easy adn affordable!

I reckon £50 including shipping would be fair, there are a few ways it could be made. The originals used pnp Germaniums and positive ground like your Fuzzface so they would have to be battery power or daisy chained just with the Fuzzface and the Rangemaster on the same supply.

They can be made "regular" with a daisy chainable supply with another transistor though. Try uploading the song to mediafire and posting the link

Right, so I could run the Fuzz & Rangemaster togheter (daisychained) off the same powersupply? If so, that's cool.

Would the "regular" way with the added transistor affect anything?

Mike, you have really outdone yourself. That pedal is amazing!

I can't wait to get my grubby little hands on that noise box.

I played around with a Reissue in the local guitar shop yesterday, yours sounds spot on if not better plus there's no volume drop on yours.

Great job man, can't thank you enough.

Does Corgan use a Blender?

I came around to them via the Sonic Youth/My Bloody Valentine connection.

hly sht, that sounds EXACTLY like junkbox's pedal he got last year. that'd be a trip if it were built w/ those bronco-style knobs.
