Is that photograin or real? LULZMike wrote:+1Sublimedo wrote:Now that's a high end squier for real. It's really great.
Bet people still find stuff to moan about though, tragically.
That's a good idea actually, if you dodge customs you'll have a sodding steal.timhulio wrote:Is that photograin or real? LULZMike wrote:+1Sublimedo wrote:Now that's a high end squier for real. It's really great.

Completely getting one of those duos when they appear on ebay in the US... and no-one can stop me!
Wicked. I'm glad it went to a fellow shortscaler.timhulio wrote:Yes I bought that bigstyle. I've been after one of those musicmasters for ages, especially an unmodified one, because I've got a vista musicmaster neck on my Duo-type guitar and it's great.
Unfortunately, due to harsh new one-in, one-out legislation I've got to lose this silver hagstrat.
Both of the squiers are better then the MIM. Go for whichever one looks best to you; they're both great.Wilbur wrote:Warning: Big Question Post...

I'm now almost 100% certain thats what I'll do. As tempted as I am to spend the extra 100$ and get a MIM standard, from what I've played and from what you guys are telling me, I should get Classic Vibe and save the 100 bucks to spend on pickups....aen wrote:Get the squier vintage vibe. It's a 50's classic tele made in china. Frankly, Im a little miffed I bought the $630 MIM version a couple years back. I could have scored some other cool shit and waited for the Squier.
My bad, I meant I'm looking at the Dot and the Firebird. Honestly I'm still undecided on the sound issue. I could tell you exactly what I would want in a bass, but as for getting my first guitar, I'm just not sure. But if I decide I want a telecaster I'll grab the Squier Classic Vibe for sure.mage wrote:Epiphone makes a Dot/Firebird? whoa, that would be sweet.
Not a fan of that artcore, personally.
I will say epiphone dots are great sounding guitars. I would play it first though.
what kind of sound you looking for?
Telecaster = twangy cleans and biting distortion.
Dot = fuller frequency range.
