Just picked up some Kluson copies on Weebay because the B machinehead button is starting to crack and generally feel a bit looooose. Might put 'em on my other Strat and use the current ones on the D-Caster 2, not sure yet.
Currently tweaking the action and nut, it's a-gettin' better!

I sound like a Southern gentleman Stephen Hawking upon reflection.
The worst thing bout the guitar is that it has one of those "hang over" 22nd frets, so you can't lift the scratchplate without removing the neck since the pickups are body-mounted. I'm almost tempted to just saw it off and sand it down, been driving me nuts putting it together

Think I will, won't be hard to cut it level with the heel.

You aren't going to need to lift the scratchplate that much surely? I'd live with it while you get it together and then rock out on the extra fret once it's done.

It's just a pain, and I'm sure I'm gonna remove it more often than I'll play on the 22nd fret. For now, I'll leave it though.
Fakey non-slothead Klusons arrived yesterday, put em on this morning:
The holes were slightly too far apart from make it the snuggest of fits, but fuckit it- doesn't look too bad and the tuners ain't moving around or anything:
ROCK ROCK ON!

Yea, it's not a big deal that they're spaced funny.
Looking good, though, son.
