Did 3 neck screws come through the fretboard and get their points filed off or are those something else? I've always imagined that's what I'd do if I made a boo-boo, fuck patching stuff.

No, close though i set the drill depth and it somehow screwed up... 3 bastard holes until i realised.

That calls for a "Right on d00der" if memory serves correct.
New pics are cool, that thing looks super bad-ass from every angle.

Do you think i should fit a tooled leather guard?
Thanks guys, it plays great as well. I'll bring it along to Progfest.
In hindsight i wish i had used Alder or something (more for peace of mind), i really did'nt expect it to turn out as nice as this despite it ruling my life for a couple of months.
Really happy with it. Already wondering what to build next though....

Do you have an idea of the total cost of this thing Fran?

I got it at around £120 when i last calculated.
Massive savings on the body and the Yacht Varnish finish.
An alder blank is £40 shipped, the MDF cost me £4.70 plus i did'nt have to buy grain filler.
Halfords lacquer is £5.99 a can and you need at least 4 - 5. The Yacht Varnish was £5.99, thinned down it had way more coverage than 10 cans of lacquer.
There is some method to the madness here.
When i built the JS i learnt the hard way, by the time i had done i may as well had bought one off ebay, albeit not as special as mine
