Man, I wish I would have seen this in time. I would have snagged a second one in an instant. The Duo-Sonic is quickly becoming on of my very favorite guitars. I'd love to have another to modify.

That's awesome. You guys will really the Squier Duo Sonic.
I like mine stock. I even like the pickups. The maple fret board ads lots of spank to the sound.
I am sure Mike will shame my lame demo with a proper video.
and for $99? That's a steal. Mine was $250 used on ebay after Fender upped all their prices at the beginning of the year.
They originally went for $279 and now are $329! Tempts me to buy another classic Vibe Squier.

I was sorely tempted when I saw the post, and the price, but at the end of the day I just couldn't bring myself to do it.
If I'd ever had a chance to try one first I might have had enough information to pull the trigger, but this was not the case.
The odds that it would beat either of my two current guitars are very slim, and three would just clutter up the place.
But I would like to try one, sometime.

Crazy talk, crazy talk.
I got one for $99 at GC. Just went down there and gave the manager noogies until he caved. Even if it sucked donkey, which it does not, I knew I could sell it for more than double what I paid.

That would be an appealing incentive to me if you paid $25,000, but double $99 didn't really motivate me to action, given that there might be some minor effort involved. It was enough to make me think about it though.
The clutter issue may seem crazy to you, but you don't live with who I live with. Besides it's not just the electrics, there are numerous other instruments here, the total count cannot go up.

If you can invest in a $25,000 guitar, you can invest in a guitar rack.

I'm not familiar with any rack that my other will be happy looking at. She certainly doesn''t want a wall full of them, she wants them out of the way.
But I don't know what you've got in mind, I'd appreciate it if you could please post link, if it would work maybe I can use it to stash my current instruments.
And no that would not be an investment, just an expenditure, so it better be cheap. Unless i can sell this rack of yours for double as well.

I only wanted them to modify. I have had a few ideas for using those as the base of a few projects, but I definitely do not want to pay the full price as I could almost buy a Warmoth body and neck for that price.
I'm still bummed about this.
