Doesn’t he know how SENSITIVE this issue is posting an actual picture of a danelectro product is surely a banning offence in the current climate. Ban Izodiak!

i think that plus the matching headstock really do it for me.
i've never been fond of 3-pup guitars though, feels weird not being able to have all 3 pickups on at the same time. even if i really only need say the bridge .. also no wiring option for bridge and neck, but no middle.

My first guitar was a epiphone strat copy with one of those shark-fin looking head stocks... It was okay... It was through body strung though, and sexy maple neck.
I never really figured out how to string it (I was 15 and inept). I have it somewhere, should re-string it.

The Burns Marquee and Batwing guitars have the option of all three pickups on at once, as well as just neck and bridge. My two favourite sounds.
Now thats a strat I'd have fun with!

It's basically just got two outputs. One seperate output does neck pickup which feeds into a JCM800. The other is for the humbucker which feeds into a sub woofer type amp. Has no other volume or tone, switches etc. His pedals consist of a kill switch for the sub and a tuner.
Very cool sound.
After watching the video, I'd like to hear more from the band, and the strat idea is awesome. I've played strats off and on for ~25 years but I there's just something about them that I can't seem to articulate. I want to love em so bad, but...
I happen to come across all kinds of shit in pawnshops and guitar stores all over the US, and tend to buy and stash the stuff that I don't need but feel has potential and is a good buy. I started buying used gold logo Indonesian Squire Standards last year after seeing Robroe's Duo-Casters with the idea of having 5 or 6 variations on the theme that feel good. I haven't done anything with them yet - until I saw the Hold your Horse Is video!
I placed an order with AllParts tonight, and am going to have a little fun! I think I'll combine a little Robroe in there and keep two of the three control pots and only one output jack. I ordered some 250K and 500K audio taper blend pots to play around with, instead of tone. I've got a bunch of single coil and humbucker pickups laying in shoeboxes to choose from.
I'll have to stop being a late night lurker and post a new thread in projects or something to document the transition!

I've never thought of Ryan Adams as a Strat player. Sure, he plays one sometimes, but really he has a TON of guitars.
I always picture him with a Bigsby'd SG, big ol' hollowbody, or Acoustic.
As far as I have heard, all of Rock N Roll was on a tele.
