Aria Pro Cardinal Series Bass 350. It's a 32" scale bass that both Pixies and MBV played in the 80s.

I didn't like the stock pickup so it's actually just a Red Fender Lace Sensor under the cover.

My two teh Kurtz short-scales. I wanted a Jaguar and/or Mustang for ages, then I got these two pretty much at the same time.




I have moar Jaguar GAS now. One isn't enough.

I've not played the Jaguar, but I played the KC Mustang when I was out guitar shopping with James and Lorez recently - it played nice and the trem actually worked great.

It was a pretty close feel for my '72 Competition Mustang.

That Jaguar is fantastic. That color just draws you in. Thanks for sharing the picture. I will one day own a Seafoam green guitar.

If I buy another Jaguar or Mustang, I'm definitely going to buy a vintage one...I played a black late 60s big block Jag a few years ago and loved it, although I was potless at the time and couldn't afford it.

It helps the strings stay on the mustang bridge better. I play pretty aggressively so if I didn't have the buzzstop, my strings would definitely come off. It improves sustain a bit and I'm not sure what you mean by stability.

Is that one standard MIJ and one Classic Player? Any preference between the trem locations given that for the one further from the bridge you have the buzz stop? I've played both a Jag with buzz stop and a Classic Player but never side-by-side to compare. I think that once people here started getting used to the look of the trem being there that quite a few people preferred it. I would guess, though, that with the buzz stop they feel quite similar.

The trem on my classic player is leagues better. It's been modified so the tremolo bar actually stays where ever you leave it. The CIJ has a free swinging tremolo arm. The trem on the Classic Player is incredibly smooth. I like the playability overall of the classic player better than the CIJ but I definitely like the look of the CIJ better. The Classic Player is definitely a guitarist's guitar. Everything about it is made to be practical, including the off-putting trem placement.

Here is my short scale Jag-Stang. Pretty heavy modded.
