Thanks. I have no finishing skills, so it's a funny story. 1 coat of rub-on cherry stain. Didn't like it, so I sprayed avocado green. HATED that, so I quickly thinned off the green. Finished with two coats of lacquer. Totally novice, but it looks good and feels nice and smooth.

I actually love it, a lot. I got it mainly because I got really disenchanted with noisy true bypass vintage-style pedals (click! click!) and wanted something buffered.

I actually don't use the compressor on the Route 66 as a compressor at all. Instead, I turn the compressor knob off and use it as a clean boost to hit my amp harder. It's quite good at that. I'm usually running into a slightly overdriven channel, and my various dirt pedals mainly control the kind of gain I get. I never run into a true clean channel.

There's a built-in noise gate in the compressor channel but you can switch it off inside the pedal, which I did since I hate the sound of noise gates kicking in and out. It's quite good at boosting while keeping the integrity of your guitar tone. When I did try it as a compressor, it worked fine, too.

The overdrive section is pretty good. I'd say it's comparable to most Ibanez style OD pedals, except with a bass control which helps it sound decent into a clean channel. I mainly use the overdrive section on the Route 66 to provide easy feedback at low volumes, so I'm actually not that concerned about its tone, since most of the drive tone still comes from the amp. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the pedal. It is very versatile, and it just happens to be perfect for how I like to set up my signal chain.

When I want an overdrive whose tone I actually like, I have the Boss OD-3 for that. I think OD-3 is one of the most underrated overdrives of all time. I haven't found anything I like better. It's sort of like a Blues Driver, I think, but better IMO.

Thanks! I've had Jaguar love (lust?) for many years now. I had been following the development of the Johnny Marr for a while and its release finally pushed me over the edge. 8)

Soon gonna get a Guitar Fetish Bridge, Tort Pickgaurd, chrome knobs, new volume pot, cus it seems to be broken, possibly new pickups, and a thumb rest. maybe a bridge cover to. I took the pickguard off and put on a strap peg for a thumb rest

Thats all my guitars I'll post my amp set up and pedals in the correct forum for that, and sorry about the pictures ill take better ones and post them later.

That's a grand collection, but you've posted them in the wrong place, since they're not shortscales.

That is a nice cat. Is it a designer breed? It looks like a toyger or a bengal/savannah cat lol.
