These are my short scale guitars.
94' MIJ Jaguar in front of a 73' Champ, and a 64' Silvertone 1457 in front of 66' Silvertone 1482.
I also have a 67' Mustang Bass.

That Tokai SG Junior looks amazing. What is the name of this particular model? Does it have a chunky neck or a slim one like most SGs?

Ha, it is a 25" . I didn't know, I never measured or looked it up. I have always considered it a short scale because it feels shorter than a Jaguar or a Mustang when you are playing it. Good to know.

I am starting to realize that fender short scales are an addiction....

I recently bought a squier mustang for the purpose of learning to modify a guitar however found myself enjoying the short scale and had an itch to go for the real thing. I found a 1996 MIJ mustang on craigslist for a very fair price from a super nice guy, so I had to go for it...

Sorry for the poor quality pic. Right now, I am really enjoying it as is. In the future, I may have the headstock painted/re-decaled, may swap out the fast tracks (previous owner had installed) for the zexcoil juicy bucker and replace the neck pickup with a zexcoil throaty bucker and may throw on a white peraloid pickguard. I am also considering a mastery bridge but for now, the stock bridge is pretty solid. Depends how much sustain I can get by swapping the pickups.

God I love this guitar.

Thank you! The more I have been thinking about it, I probably will not change the pickguard or have the headstock painted because the look is pretty badass. I do think I still want to put in the new pickups (like how the bridge one sounds better than the tracks) and mastery bridge (sustain is really lacking in the top strings) but those changes shouldn't change the aesthetics of the guitar too much :)

Yes. Right! Just make them 2 single coil humbuckers and you know what change volume & tone to 500 pots too.
