Two RG550's? and what is that first Superstrat?

It's a Marlin "Nasty" bought in 1988 for £99 brand new right on the change over when Hohner took over the distrubutuon on Marlin stuff from British Music Strings - hence no fish at the 12th fret.
Totally modded by me as a teenager but it should look something like the superstrat Goots not long picked up here: http://www.shortscale.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=45459

top row: Marlin Nasty, AXL SRO Badwater strat (on ebay this evening) 1990 RG550, 1989 Desert Sun Yellow RG550

My other half has been pining for something with nylon strings lately, after she destroyed her classical during one wild party...

$40 later I got her this, with new strings and a gig bag.

Anyone want to take a few up close pictures of their Gibson Marauder Headstocks? I have to get a new gibson logo in my neck and want to see exactly how they were. Thanks.

Cleaned up my Epi after about 2-3 years of collecting dust (literally, it looked grey). Sorry about the rubbish photos, I only have my phone.

Because of my crappy photography skills, the weird yellow gas that seems to have filled my house and my camera actually being a phone, you cant see that the strat has a mint pickguard/cream pickups which I assume is standard on the 60s series but cant be bopthered to look into it.

I forget the size of them Epi's, at the side of a Strat the thing is fucking huge!

Certainly takes a bit of getting used to after the strat or even more so a shorty.

That Sheraton is lovely. You know if its a MIK or MIC one?

I've really liked all the Casinos and Dots I've played in the past. There seems to be some inconsistencies in the way the neck shapes are though.

Is the Casino the completely hollow model?
I had an Aria Pro II Semi that was completely hollow (no centre block), the fucking depth of tone on that thing was ridiculous. Made me rethink what a good electric guitar is. I sold it as usual, like a twat.

Yes the Casino is the completely hollow 'un.

I remember seeing a video of that Aria you had. The Lady in Slowdive using something similar I believe,.

The Korean Casinos had the best Epi neck I've ever played on, so narrow and comfy. The Dots's necks at the time were horrendous by comparison.

I can understand why. Lets face it, Offsets look awesome but they offer a restricted tone. Having said that, i discovered LINE 6 AND NOTHING WILL STOP ME. EVER!!

Aye my Jaguar is pretty much a one trick pony but it does that trick very well.

Over the past couple of months I've found my Les Paul really does suit the way I play. But I've since realised I don't particularly like Humbuckers all that much.

I was thinking of some cheap and cheerful humbucker sized p90s. A pair of them, some twelves and I think it'd be perfect.
