here's my 1965 mustang:
Image
yes it's been refinned and it's MUCH yellower in real life (it's the exact same color as a Boss SD-1 pedal!)

Image
when i got it, i thought i'd refin it (it was originally daphne blue!!!) - but the color is quite original, well done and it's growing on me.
it'll need some decent pickups - i was thinking maybe some duncan antiquities - cuz these are just cheap strat pups with the 'stang covers on 'em.

Image
the A-size neck is giving me a bit of a headache, but i'll give it some more time to see if i can get used to it. otherwise i'll sell (or trade) the neck for a normal B-sized one.
notice the new logo on this one , but you can still see the "white shadow" of where the original one once was.

Image

i'll post pics of my 1962 jaguar thing once i get the tort guard. now it ain't got any and those humbucker mod holes look too scary!

that is such a lovely instrument
lamp seems to fancy bareknuckle pickups
price might not justify their sound for some people, but they do have their own chime to them

I love your Jag so much <3 That color combination is just so different without going to crazy. What kind of pups are those btw?

Eh it's not as bad as it looks. Mostly I think it's just the crusty junk I should clean off that makes it look drier than it is... What's the purpose of lemon oil as opposed to something like Tone Finger Ease string lubricant?

Thanks. :P They're Dimarzio Super II's from the late 70's to mid 80's.

Lemon oil cleans up and moisturises the fretboard, so I'm told.

Yeah, it would fill in a lot of the dryness and make it rich again

Yeah I need to get another bottle of it. Lost my giant never-need-to-buy-another bottle in the big move/breakup.

Thanks, I tend to buy more than sell so I've ended up as a wayward home for lost instruments. I have 22 guitars with basses and tenors included.

I think the stock knobs on the Reissue look ok, standard Fender look. Especially since that guitar hangs on the wall next to a vintage one with the mustang style knobs. The Hofner and Egmond were missing knobs so they both have the same 70's style ones, it's for the best since the original knobs for both models look horrid.
