Right, this is basically a FuzzFace with some mods, which means you would not be able to daisy chain it with other "regular" pedals as it is positive ground. It would have to have battery power. I would add a DC jack wired to work with any boss style supply but it can NOT be daisy chained with other boss style effects as it will ground out all the supplies and nothing will work while it is in the power chain.

If you're still interested I could probably build it for £70 in a small case, and more like £60 in the Box Of Cake size case I do, since it would be much simpler to fit everything in.

Nah, it's fucking batty.

5... yes.. FIVE reverse biased npn Silicon transistor stages, into a Big Muff Pi style tone control (that's what the Fuzz control actually is, a Shape or Tone control, the Fuzz is set internally with a trimpot), into two more recovery stages. All 7 stages clip the signal. It's a crazy sounding fuzz. It's huge and very loud.

I've got 3 bronco knobs already so no worries there. Possibly a white back plate for the MBM Logo and a date + john handcock? No decals on front, those are just to show how i would like things orientated. But feel free to move things about if it makes things easier.
I would be tickled pink by this honestly, about time i get a proper fuzz other than the big muff.
Is there some possibly holding device for a battery? Something to keep it from rattling about?

No way you could fit 3 Bronco knobs on a small case. Would need to be Box Of Cake sized.

And no battery clip necessary, I can trap the battery with the switch and foam.

Nah, you would need to unplug the input cable to conserve battery life. It is doable on a large case, but the three Bronco knobs will make things a little cramped. Definitely possible though, I would just need to take care to get the layout just right. Battery should last ages.

Lets go ahead and plan for mustang style knobs then. Full sized ones if possibly since there can be plenty of room [not masses but enough]
What are options as far as a buffered bypass. I hear it can be a good idea with a lot of pedals with true bypass and losing some fedelity through cable capacity. Some popular 'boutique' pedals use a buffer [klon mainly] for this reason. I'll only be running about 6 pedals at max, all but possibly 1 will be true bypass. Do you think a buffered bypass would be a good idea or is it just something i'll have to try out myself and see if i like it?

Nah, buffered bypass and fuzz does not mix. I only build true bypass fuzzes. I can build buffers into separate pedals (buffer only) but I prefer to keep it separate.

that sounds cool man, keep it true bypass. did you do a buffer on your klon?

what do you say we green light this? the only thing i can think of is an on switch for the bias control, i know, damn haze and his funky switches.

That wouldn't really work, since when the bias is out of the circuit completely the transistor isn't biased. Why not just use the knob?

There is a buffer on my Klon because part of the Klon is that it has a buffer, it is on all the time and the Overdrive is just switched on and off by the switch. It is a unique pedal. Everything else I do true bypass.
