I've convinced myself that I would like a Made by Mike pedal.

I fancy either a Salty flavoured compressor
OR
a dirt pedal based on 3 Saltboosters in a row.

What are my options, Mike?

Don't have a schematic for the Distortron I'm afraid, but I could take a guess at what the switches do. It would be Â£70 + shipping, same as a Box Of ROck

I don' t have a compressor design I can build cost effectively for you, I would go for an MXR Dyna Comp if i was you.

3 Saltbooster thing is definitely doable mate. Â£65?

Metal LED bezels need 8mm holes. Pots only need 7mm.

by the way, which setting is which on the toggle? is it up for 800 and down for JTM?

Yup, down for Plexish Big Bottom Tones, and up for more focussed Gainy 800 goodness.

Definitely want to hear your thoughts on how it sounds, I think it's a very amp-like pedal with a wonderful sounding decay.
