Marshall JCM 900 SL-X (2100 Model - 100w)
Image

This is double tracked from the amp's 'recording compensated' line out.
There's no compression/limiting, so the clip is pretty low volume - turn it up!

the Marshall website wrote: Extra Strength SL-X
* 50 Watt 2500 SL-X and 100 Watt 2100 SL-X amplifier formats.
* Extra ECC83 [12AX7] valve in the pre-amp
* Switchable master volumes
* 4 band EQ
* Pre-amp volume control and a Gain sensitivity [which goes from 0-20!]
* Effects loop
* Direct output
* Switchable high and low output
* Valve failure LEDs.

It'll sound a LOT better boosted and at 18v, and it'll stack well with damn near anything

Crate Blue Voodoo cab with Celestion G12 75T's and WGS Veteran 30's.
Audix i5 on G12-75T, Shure SM-57 on Veteran 30, Studio Projects B1 as room mic for more natural sound.

Three different takes for each sample, two rhythm tracks panned hard left and right with an accent track in the middle. Each take is comprised of all three mics.
No eq on individual tracks, but there is master buss compression/eq, i have a saved preset that i slap on tracks to bring them up in my phones and didn't take it off. nothing drastic going on, basically just makes it louder.

BUGERA 333XL (Similar to Peavey JSX)

Guitar: Gibson Goth Les Paul with an epiphone neck humbucker in the bridge. It's resistance measures at about 4.0 ohms. I prefer low output pickups.

Amp settings: all eq knobs are at 12:00, clean channel volume was attenuated to match the crunch channels volume almost exactly. No reverb. all gain settings at 12:00

Cab: Crate Blue Voodoo with G12-75T's and WGS Veteran 30's in X pattern.
Mics: left bottom gt-75 = e609 & sm57 / right bottom v30 = i5 and studio projects b1

I didn't dick with mic placement, just put them up. These clips are just to give you a good general idea of the amp. Nothing fancy. Two hard panned takes.

------------------------

Here is a short clip of some guitar for the country rock demo. This is on the crunch channel with the gain almost all the way down, i wanted to get almost like a clean channel breaking up type of sound and I'm pleased with the results, there was almost no tweaking around the eq at all. I put a scratch bass track in there just for reference.

http://kiwi6.com/file?id=l4acu9g06r

Signal chain same as above. Crunch channel, bass 12:00, mid 1:00, treb 1:00.
