Lock down the vibrator with a bit of wood behind it and keep the springs in. It's part of the Strats character.

+1, I much prefer how my Strat sounds like that, it sounded kinda dead without the springs.

Serious mo, filling the cavity is not worth it at all, it's a ton of work to do it right, and anything even a step short of doing it right really doesn't hold up.

My mind is a bit Slanted and Enchanted. I always write vibrator instead of vibrato.

I propose we always call it a vibrator now. It's accurate. Don't do weird mods to bods. If you want something drastically different, get something else. Strats are designed to functiona a certain way. I loved my vibrator. Mine was a Squier and it rockededed.

Icey doesn't like cheap slave labour vibrators. He only buys quality made American ones from California.
If I had the means I would seriously expand the size of the cavity so I coulds put longer springs in. I'm sure it would make the strat sound more interesting.
