i can't remember what he said the settings were at when he dialed in his "clean" tone. but, yeah, it was a bit spanky.

That, and the fact the "clean" channel is so dirty makes me think maybe some of the tubes are crapping out?

I found that I tend to like tube amps with the master cranked and just a little pre-gain like my first setting. But it actually sounds decent with the master low as well.

I didn't realize how loud it was until I took those headphones off. WOW!
They supposedly attenuate like 29db.

the tubes are brand new JJ's.
the dude hasn't even played it yet since he got it from the repair dude a few days ago. he just bought a Peavey XXX with cab for like $1,100.

Also, the clean channel is pretty clean with low-ouput pickups, but my jagmaster is a SHREDMACHINE, so it blow shit up like that.


He's selling me the amp and the 4x12 for $400. good deal.
