He already owns Dano sized lipsticks. What's more, he has no routes at all so it'd be just as difficult to install either Strat sized ones or Dano sized ones. The problem is Dano pickups normally mount from the back, and then have a layer of wood glued over the top so they're inside the guitar. Strat ones are designed to be mounted on a scratch plate, which we're debating whether Hurb should have one or not.

Seriously, read the thread don't add your two cents based on the pictures.

cheers mike.
i should note although the ass is basically all jazzmaster on first looks. its actually more exaggerated and slight bigger overall...a small dude would probably be uncomfortable with it. but for a big man sized man like myself i feel it is about spot on! i made it for me and me alone.

No its a real jazz guard that i practised on ages ago ie screw bevel's etc. bit of a waste but it gave me the skills to do my own guard.

The guard for this is gonna have some jazz elements sort of.

Considering how jazz bassish it is you might wanna start there, I'm not a huge fan of the jazz bass pickguard, it looks a little squashed on the bass side to me, but you could make it work.
