You can push the gain knob to halfway between 9 o clock and 10 o clock and maintain complete spanky cleanness and yuo can get it pretty loud, but nothing that will compete with a heavy drummer. However if you want a slightly dirty sound for teh jangles or full on crunch then there is more than enough volume on tap - that thing is a beast.

No doubt, I love it. Actually was having the most fun when doing some demo recording At Gareth's, the TT was in his bathroom on very quiet but crunchy, but I had it loud in my headphones and was dancing around in the hallway rocking out for ages. I had to be roused from my revelry to actually cut my takes.

Since I put the valves back in my Laney I've actually been it pretty constantly. I forgot how much I like my treble and reverb, though it is still too darn loud.
