Fender did something kinda new, by copying Gibson.

yeah i'd really like a tummy contour on my tele, but then i'd destroy the awesome finish and the double boundness of the thing.

Even if you don't like the "accessorizing" and bling on the Jag, at least it's built around a pretty face The Tele looks like an ugly plank.

I don't hate Teles. I wouldn't mind one, they can sound great. They're just really, really ugly I really want a Deluxe. They're the ugliest. That's almost why they're endearing. Like my grandma's dresser. But I'd rather have a guitar look like my grandma's refrigerator or car than her dresser.

I do like the bling on the Jag though, far more than the plain JMs... But the Jag shape is just gorgeous to me. I like the pointier upper horn too on Jags.

Jaguars are silly. When you need to bring the rock you reach for a Telecaster. Not a tarty metallic finish swiss army knife.

I really fail to see what is so ugly about a Telecaster, not that I care either way.
It's an instrument, and they're the best I've played.

I kinda like that topic guitar. I used to have an early 90's mim strat that color. Man I loved that guitar.

haha, limitting this argument to aesthetics is one thing, but I prefer the jag's sort of twang/versatility to the teles, though both posess those attributes. Jags just do it surfier and prettier.

And with no sustain whatsoever.

Buy a Telecaster and rule them all.

Telecasters are really beautiful guitars, the simpleness of lines, and I just love the shape.. and the pickguard, I think its one of the niceest guitars built, I like the Jaguar too, but tele is in my list, in the first place.

if it had a bigger upper horn, it would be nice

i really like the look of the top horn. it just doesnt fit with the lower horn.

I used to hate the way tele's look and I used to not like the way they sound, but once I heard a nice one, I liked 'em. But that guitars horn does look pretty messed up.
