They are 24, but they are 21 frets. Unlike a normal 22 fret shortscale. So don't plan on using a Jagmaster neck on anything other then a jagmaster.

I thought about that too. Maybe a tooling issue. Maybe just a design issue regarding the way it looks. I don't know what they were thinking on that one.....

I'm already thinking of a B/W/B pickguard for it, I came across the idea whilst looking at that cheap Bronco thread last night, it should look hot!

go for the tuxedo look with white robroes and white knobs with that black pickguard.

Yeh its REALLY nice, great balance, great neck (i'd say the neck on the jagmaster was better than the neck on the jaguar HH), pickups sounded good though the neck pickup could get a little muddy (you need to lower it).

i borrowed a dude's jaguar hh at a show one time when my jagmaster was being painted. honestly, i really didn't like it. the jagmaster seemed easier to play, just more comfortable and i like the fact that it weighs nothing. it also pisses me off that you can only get it in chrome/black. they would sell way more if they had good colors in the US (like the daphne w/ matching headstock i saw on ebay a few days ago).

Okay, so I've had a good chance to play the new Jagmaster! My first impressions weren't great, the set up was horrible out of the box (don't know why I expected different) but after I spent some time changing the strings (it came with something stupid like 8 or 9's), lubricated the nut, sorted out the intonation etc.. it was great.

Now I have the action really low and it feels really nice to play, the neck is really good, no sharp frets at all. The finish on the neck is satin but I really think that it would look a lot better with a tinted lacquer considering it is the vintage series.

I'm really happy with it to be honest though, the pickups are a bit muddy although they do roar with distortion! I can live with them for now. If I had paid over £200 for it I would have been less happy but at the price I paid (£189) what you're getting is a nice balance between a standard Jaguar and an HH Jaguar...

I probably missed some major points out so feel free to ask questions if you're curious.

**Oh I forgot to mention, for those complaining about the bright white pickguard, it's actually parchment so it's not as bright as it looks in the pics!

I forgot to mention a major point! since the neck is 24" scale I assumed it would be as skinny as a Jaguar neck at the first fret, however, it is actually very much like a Strat neck so there's plenty of room for sausage-fingered people
