I put some big red LEDs in the original HH VS footswitch so it lights up.

Unfortunately I'm a bit limited by the built-in red filter on the old switch.

i really want to make a switch like that for my blues deluxe, as i like to run the delay in the fx loop and the other pedals in the front end. so with that switch you can do channel changing and fx loop in/out down one multicore cable?

I can switch the crunch ("Valve Sound") in and out, and send the signal out to FX. As I mentioned, that doesn't affect the spring reverb signal which carries on in its own sweet way. Most likely use, though is to put a delay/reverb unit in the loop so I'd switch off the internal reverb anyway.

This switch probably isn't easily adapted to other amps. On some of their amps, Fender do some clever stuff with their footswitches, like running AC down the cable, switching in rectifying diodes and stuff. Then they have circuitry back at the amp that works out what combination of switches you have closed and open from the voltage on the wire, and switches stuff inside the amp accordingly. This means the signal never leaves the amp (so it doesn't get degraded). You'd probably have to have a cable harness that took in/out cables from FX sockets on the back of the amp, though you could put everything in one box for neatness.
