could be used for one of two things. totally bogus insurance purposes, or as an 'end-of-gig' guitar: from 20m away under stage lights, no-one would tell if it was genuine or not :)

that site is paaaaaaainfully slow though...

Shame shame on the Made in Korea stickers... Knock off crap from China shows up on the nightly news all the time over here, they're unstoppable.

Still very curious...Grohl'd a la Ampeg Lucite for $210, pray tell?

A little dial-up mad patience has led to some horribly quirky surprises.

Haha, I'd get one of those Rickenbacker copies to smash. People would shit bricks if they saw one of those get smashed.

More pix I got from Fauxoland....Might put on the proper decal, depending on if it's worth it or not.
Also If anybody is interested in swapping?? I need a decent neck pickup for this fake beauty...I got a Fender 65 RI neck Pickup (Taken from an almost new CIJ Mustang) So let me know....

How do you know they aren't just sending you pics of a real Fender? The guitar send you might be made of bamboo cane and papyrus, or it might not look like that at all...

because if it was a real Fender, their pics would at least be OF a real Fender and look that way

It'd probably fool me if I saw it on a wall somewhere, but compare it to the real thing and you can pretty much tell...

It's tempting, and odd (to me) that they're giving you good enough service to take pics of your individual axe...

True, all you have to do is look at the headstock and you know it couldn't be the pic of a real Fender.

The Tele Deluxes are horrible. That pickguard is one of the worst I've ever seen.

So the Muso arrived....

It was packed nicely and I paid no customs!! :D

The finish has some very minor flaws. You have to get really close to notice them. The setup wasn't the greatest, but not too bad, a slight bridge adjustment is all it needed.

The pickups sound surprisingly good, I'm going to leave them. Pickguard is nice.

I got a couple of CTS pots that i'll throw in.

Frets not sharp at all, neck very nice.

The tuners have "Fender" stamped on them and you can so tell the writing is fake....

The logo was painted on under the clearcoat, I sanded but it was way too deep so then I just took it apart and decided to paint the headstock. The color on this beast is extremely close to the Cyclone I painted. So I went to the local auto parts store to get a can of Duplicolor but instead they now match and pump paint into an aerosol can(Not nitro, but everything else they do). They got a computer scanner thingy that they placed on the body.... pretty cool!

Neck is sealed now, will be painted tomorrow.

I should have taken pix of the logo before but I didn't so...

Not too bad for a chinese fake, some good tuners and it'll be a rockin' beast. Way better setup and sounding than my last Ibanes Jet King, for way cheaper too! That Ibanes neck was razor freakin sharp!

Hey Tribi9, how much did the shipping to Canada cost?

The tuners look like somebody scratched the word Fender on with a pen knife!

Awesome guitar, though. Surprising the pickups are actually good!

$110 bux to have it shipped here. I got lucky with customs, she declared the value @ $100, so I should have had to pay but hey who am I to question Canada customs practices.....
