so, what's wrong with the neck. is it just that the frets have some corrosion? you could polish that out.

Can you not salvage the neck? It looks so good.

if you don't want to put new holes in that body, you could break off the screw heads, and glue them onto the guard.
thus making it appear to be in, but in reality its adding FAUX mojo, first introduced to us by hurb with his faux electric XII build.

just deal with it and put some vintage correct tuners on it, so what if they are 150.00 + a set, its worth it, you have a vintage stang.

hahaha YESSIR!
I don't wanna put any new holes in anything, to be honest. I want shit that fits like a fuckin' glove! Even the tuners, no way am I fuckin' this neck up. With Klusons, tho, I'd still have to put some more holes in it, right? Makes me so sad

agreed. Some of the fancier things can simply be worth it. It took me a bunch of cheap guitar projects to find that out.

i wanted to get vintage correct tuners for the villager neck but a lefty set of vintage f-keys are about 250.00+ and a righty set is 150.00+
and becuz it was not a tru vintage restoration i just bought re-issue keys, they fit rather well cept the lefty set,
the casing is reversed so i had to add 1 extra hole, but thats it, i left the rest blank.

If I had 150, I would do it... I wouldn't even mind finding a vintage tuner that barely works...

save pennies for a while,
every now and again you see single tuners go up for sale.

call up some local shops. some of these guys have secret stashes of guitar parts.
