the 600 took the gloss off quickly.
When the sandpaper arrives...I'll work the same spot up to 2400 or 3000 and then decide how to go about the rest.

I'll look into that cutting polish too.

+2 besides usually looking like shit when its done, if done rightit kinda tells people that youve spent hour after hour jamming on it when you really spent a few hours grinding it in the dirt

more like it tells people you've spent years jamming on it when really you spent a week or more meticulously sanding it and rubbing dirt and other things into it.

I also, am not a big fan of relicing but it sure as hell looks a lot better when done right than when not. my problem with it is that when you pick up the guitar you won't think of it like you've played it for years; you will always think of all the work you put into it to make it look like you have. and we all know, how you feel about the guitar is the most important thing. You can fool everyone else, but you'll never fool yourself.
