so i found one flaw.. when i put on a string to test it it grounds the guitar out.
so i poped it all ff, unhooked the ground to the bridge/string guide
re wired it back up and same thing..
ran what i thought was the ground to nowhere, same thing

but i get a response from the pick ups, just nothing from a string, so the oposite of what i believe we want out of a guitar

after two months of this essentially sitting in my guitar rack with me hardly able to look at it
i decided to pick it back up and muck about tonight, after having limited results wiring my mustang project..
i figured i should go back to this..

and i got audio, so its 50% done.
but done enough for me.. since i need it for a gig next month i should probably use it to write some new noise.

rawk.
oh and it is still so very very ugly
i'll do a video demo once i'm at the jam space.

on this topic, i'm re-visiting this guitar (sorry about the no video)
and am now thinking of putting a delay directly into it
Aen is about the only dude i can think of who might be able to help me out with this.

also come spring i'm thinking of painting the front sonic blue.

i'll be re-wiring this over the next month.
so this thread should be getting some updates

but if someone has a schematic i could snake (or pay for) that would be cool
the other option is to buy a Behringer DD400 tear it apart and put it in.
i'm also thinking of building in a boost as well
but i'm not sure if i'll have the space.

i have always been curious about these

neat guitar, i have always wanted to find a junky guitar that i just loved, but most of the junkies ive bought i just couldn't stand to play, no matter what i did.

seems like im stuck in the 200-700 dollar realm for good. its not so bad. :)

actually, you just reminded me...

I only got the body and I was looking for parts for it and an ebay auction came up for one that was exactly the same as that but with a strat body instead of jazzy style body. I missed the end of the auction and was so fucking pissed because it went for like $25.

so anyway, it seems they made the exact same guitar with two different body shapes.

hate to dig up an old thread ... however
i've been working on this again
and i'm not a big fan of creating a new thread for it.
so..
since was last seen.
i've ditched the jagmaster neck that was on it.
scraped it down again.
re-painted it.
and found a use for the washburn neck that rob(og) hooked me up with.

upon further inspection, that neck isn't going to fly on this guitar.
so it goes.
at least without some serious modding. so i guess it will go on the noisemaster III

sporadic updates to come.

and
waiting for video.

so.. it now has the orig trem back.. or most of it, i'm missing parts (i'm surprised i found as much of it as i did, its been apart for 14 years...)
put in a mustang bridge
neck rout is fucked, neck does not properly line up with the bridge or the trem.
however it intonates just fine all the way down the neck with no buzz
Volume pot from the bullet strat
no tone pot (i play with my tone turned all the way up all the time anyways)
put in a kill switch (possibly useless?)
everything ground perfectly.
so i'm happy.

both of these are true.
video is uploading to youtube as we type.
astro wrote:WHOA! That looks sweeeeeeeet! I love the chrome pickguard!
yeah i had to hammer it back out to flaten it, was bent to shit, got all the paint off it ot, then polished it.
gaffer tape and sticker are there to cover up where the holes for the old switches, and neck pup were..
since the other chrome cover is long since gone.
