Who's upset, asswipe?
I'm as calm as can be.
Hiding YOUR passive-aggressive nature behind the "internetz" (like you always do) is pretty lame and cowardly.
You always
say you don't care, but you always take the time to pile on.
Being a loser must really be sad...
Pathetic.
"i never buy more than i need"... aw, you're so humble.

Well the plethora of insults and smilie abuse would lead to believe you're in somewhat of a froth. If you're not it's just poor posting.
Carry on.

Gee Wally... I've never seen insults on Shortscale.org before.
I apologize for stooping to your level, but people who talk out their asses annoy me.

What have I started...
I clearly don't know the history, but if there is money to be made and there is a market for them then why not ? ... I would do the same...
anyways...

I prefer the original Jaguar knobs to be honest, I think they look great stock.

Were'nt you gonna put white witch hats on your tele deluxe Mike?

Nope. That would look horrible, too much contrast.
I've never understand the deal with Witch Hats. I put a white pickguard on it once. The knobs have always been stock, all I changed on it was the pots, to 1megs.

Meh. I wasn't impressed after the initial novelty wore off.

The white pickguard just shows the kagillion screws on there. It also looks a bit more clumsy near the upper horn (not that the tele really has a horn). I sort of like it, but the black is a lot more flattering. I suppose the black just looses out on the 'seen it a million times before' factor, despite still looking great.

There are a stupid amount of screws in a Telecaster Deluxe pickguard, it takes forever to undo them all. The eye is definitely drawn to the "horn" section of the pickguard.

I tried a Fender Tele Deluxe a few weeks back and it played amazingly !!! I'm quite tempted by one actually...
How do you find it mike ?

It's been reverted to stock and it's NickD's guitar now. I'm giving it to him (ooh err) at Doogfest next weekend.
I loved it when I had it, great, great neck, but I just wasn't using it after buying the Baja Telecaster (wash your mouth out - it's a fucking brilliant instrument) so I'm selling it on. I don't like to keep instruments that I'm not playing.

This turned out to be wrong.

If people are willing to pay $20 for a pair of knobs, who cares? I bought a pair from Fullerplast last year, no regrets. he certainly didn't put a gun to my head to force me to buy them.
Sure, they might have been $1 a piece at the surplus store, but $20 is a lot cheaper than the plane ticket from Montreal to California that I would have had to buy in order to be able to buy them for a buck each.
Most of us have bought vintage gear for cheap and resold it for a profit at point or another.

I certainly regret not buying the latching 7-pin DIN plugs that HH amps use when they were on clearance at 10p. I don't know who got them but he can sell them at £2 a throw now and still undercut RS or Farnell.
