however James it does have some weirdass pickup screw setup, why 2 screws on the bass side and 1 on the treble?

That's actually pretty standard on a lot of pickups. I think maybe vintage dimarzios have it? It keeps the pickup flat, and you have the option of angling it a bit if you want to. Not sure why you'd want to but it might be useful for some balance problems i guess.
