First post! yahoo.
Anyway i just bought this, been after a mustang for a while and this seemed cheap enough for a start. I'll report back when it arrives if anyone cares. Dunno if i'm gonna manage with my man hands and those flicky switches seem awkward, shall find out soon enough.

Welcome to shortscale and nice buy!
Judging by your buyer history, you've got a project strat on the go, do tell.

The strat project is a pain in the arse, i give up with the fuckers. So going to strip it down and sell it for pieces to help fund the mustang copy. Got a red lace sensor and a strat sized p90 to drop in if the stock pickups are poop, so not a huge loss on those parts.

I have a prototype from I got for free from a guy on a Forum, who got one from the HC guitar forum. It's pretty sweet, fat and works well in all positions.
BG Pickups (half way down page). Not bad for a freebie.
I have a ton of strat parts if anyone is interested, probably too soon for me to get into your classified section, not here to whore, honest!

Nice one.
THat's unfortunate about the strat parts. I think there's been a few calls from people looking for all sorts of random strat bits in hte last few weeks.

Trem is a roller jobbie from axesrus, actually pretty sturdy.
I just hit the BIN, I phoned my out of town girlfriend for permission and just hit it. Knowing my luck some cheeky bitch would have got it before me, and i wants a mustang.

You may have done well Mark, that brand has a good reputation as any old Ibanez connection does. We want reviews when it comes.

A fabled shortscale review? I might be up for it. Watch a confused Scotsman fumble about like a chimp on a teeny tiny neck...

This seems to be the internet version of rooting about in my bins... It was a gift! No weird sexual aids or anything like that. Nothing weird here.

Good purchase on the mustang copy. I seem to remember either Cimar or CSL being crazy heavy (on a strat copy at least), make sure you post lots of details about it when you get it. Mustang copies are extremley rare and ones as accurate looking as that near enough don't exist. I was very surprised when I saw it on ebay and you did well picking it up. Bit of a risk but I'd say it's 90% safe you're going to get a hell of a lot of guitar for the money.

I've only recently realised it's got a name on the head. I thought it was a copy that someone had made in their shed.
Cool.

I just saw a Vista Jagmaster in Germany - might be a better option for you in the UK:

I has it!
New thread or stick details in here? It's pretty interesting and I has questions about setting this bad boy up.
