And, I gotcha, paybacks and all. But, get a social life, everyone I know is borrowing instruments like crazy... You might wind up with some free shit cause the dude got it for xmas and doesn't play it, or some guy's older brother got a new bass amp and doesn't want the old one.

True that, its the same way in my town. From volume pedals to half-stacks, at least in my town, its a phone call away...

Yea, i know this kid whose parents were touring musicians and still own this huge PA system that we use for park jams...
And then, my homeboys homeboys exroommate used to own a club and still has the whole sound system.

You just gotta know who to talk to.

I don't socialize much cause most of the kids I know are annoying emo kids, i get ticked off by people easily, not to the point where I yell at them, but if I dislike someone, I'm a huge dick to them

Yeap...the last show I went to featuring a favorite local band of mine, the lead guitarist was using a buddies 3 p-up Epi Les Paul Custom, and another friends head and 412. The singer had a borrowed mic and one of my old OD pedals...all on the houses PA, not even theirs either...

I know most places in MTL have their own PA system, but I need a bigger amp for the following 2 reasons

1) so I can jam with a drummer to join my band

2) to piss of my parents....where would be the fun without pissing off your parents?

True, you gotta piss em off, it's part of rock and/ or roll. hehe

I understand about jamming, broski, you might be able to just get a loud amp and plug your mic into it, haha, I did that for a little while...

Most def....If you need more than 50w, what you really need is to turn down...yeah, any 112 or 212 with 50w+ will do...as far as which one, Id say look to Marshall, Then Peavey, then Crate...

Again, avoid Bay-ringer if possible...

But overall, whatever sounds good to you is whats really best...

XLR female. All decent mics have XLR male connections.

I use an SM57.

XLR cables are double sides, broski...

One side is male, the other is female...

He might be going XLR -> 1/4 jack, hence the question.
