I'm pretty sure the neck on those things is actually mahogany, and not stained. Could be wrong though. I played one at the guitar shop here, and I was blown away too. So nice and natural to play. However, it's been in the shop a while now and both scratchplates have warped like buggery.

Could have sworn it was a bolt on neck....

ohh yea now that i think about it, it was bolt on. with a crazy bolt pattern and the strap pin was part of the plate too. just like on the super sonic

the back of the neck was dark brown. could have been stain. could have been natural. i have no idea. it was dark brown though
