That thing is pretty awesome. It looks like something that you'd have relearn to play with the bar is get in the way of the strings. Almost like a new instrument. Palm muting should be interesting.
I agree with the god of wine that a third pickup should be installed. It can "fill" up a lot of empty space while also making room for some awesome trebly lead bass tones. You can probably put it where the old bridge posts were?

yeah, im thinking the third pup route can fit between the trem plate and the guard, and since im re-making the guard anyway i may slim it down in the back.
if he ever wanted to put a normal jag neck it will also be kinda cool cuz he will have a pickup for the coupletonez! er whatever the fuck you would call the behind the bridge sound...

alright, i sent aen a pm like 3 days but i don't think he got it so im posting the pics in here.
routed for the third pup.
![Image](http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g126/Fender96jag/IMG_4898.jpg)
and then installed it, strung it up and half way set it up.

i have it wired to the rythm section, and also with the neck pup selection.
alot ofchoices, cept you can never have just the neck pup on.
there are still loads of lacquer on the frets, and im going to need to find heavier strings(i thought that gauge 14-65 would be enough. not so much) I need to source some cheap baritone strings for a gauge somewhere around 20-90.
the servere break angle had me worried for a moment becuz the strings were hitting the head of the intonation screws.
but lowering the bridge and raising the saddles significantly fixed all that mumbo jumbo.
aen.
looks like the thundercats is 99.2% done.
oh, by the way, i plugged it in and tuned it up to jam on it for a while.
wow, fucking growl,
i was playing thru a guitar amp with 2x10's so i imagine a bass amp would be more well suited for i, but it was fun, and it sounded really cool.

That looks fucking awesome. nice clean route!
Why not wire the three switches as on/offs for each pickup and ditch the strangle switch?

in all reality we may end up doing that when i take it to him, but i know aen likes wierd switches and sounds, and plus the way it is you can have the rythm circut going while the lead circut is going. makes for some pretty weird tones.

AWESOMMMMMMMMMME!!!!

yeah, but its a good thing i put the strings i have on it, cuz they let me know exactly where the low frets are on the thing.
what size strings tho?
cuz i still got a load of nut work to do(heehehehe)
but i needs to know the size of the strings.

awsome,
im going to pick out some older bass strings and stuff from other random packs and make up a correct set.
level, crown, polish the frets, finish the nut, string it up again and proceed to set it up,so even tho it looks done, i still have 7-10 hours of work to do on i.

Want, though I prefer a maple neck on a stang, it'd be cool to try it out on a Jag. Looks great, though/
