I made a post in the first page referencing my experience with one (purchased brand new), which was terrible. It worked, but if the volume was over 30% or so, it would sound like it was clipping and feed back. It did this with a fresh battery first, and then also with a 9v adapter. I opened it up (I don't know how to work with pedals but I can tell if something is burnt out) and it all seemed to be fine. I then destroyed it.
I'm curious to how Hurb's works too, seeing as how it's the pedal he just happened to use for the video.

works fine, sounds OK and sort of acousticy'ish if played into a very VERY clean amp or PA/laptop whatever. but any hint of dirt in the amp and it sounds nothing remotely like an acoustic guitar. hint of reverb helps.Nick wrote: I'm curious to how Hurb's works too, seeing as how it's the pedal he just happened to use for the video.
It's not a replacement for the acoustic guitar, but neither is the boss version that behringer copies.

Would you equate your definition of not sounding remotely like an acoustic to my experience of extreme clipping and feedback?
I'm guessing not, since you compared it to the Boss pedal, which I would at least say "works" compared to my Behringer even if all acoustic sims are more/less crap. Since no store around here carries that pedal I've yet to have the opportunity to play one that "works" to know if mine was just a dud or not.

yea, exactly. did everyone know that the WARP DISTORTION WD300 is copying the Hughes Kettner Warp Factor? I sure didn't. and I've always been confused about what exact behringer distortion is copying what exact boss distortion. there's so many it's easy to get them confused.James wrote:Quite a lot of them are obvious, but not all. I think the list is very worthwhile.
cogito ergo sum...thing or other...
yeah I dont get none of the feedback or clipping stuff you describe, it can be a bit hissy though.Nick wrote:Would you equate your definition of not sounding remotely like an acoustic to my experience of extreme clipping and feedback?

does anyone heard good things about the hellbabe?
i've heard that most people hate it
but it supposedly sounds more like a buddha wah then a crybaby from hell [dime's wah]
it's optical, thats a +
"tone buffer" type thing going on, half a +
cheap cheap cheap +++
possibly an alternative to a $200 wah +

They really need to do that, and drop prices. Don't boss make their stuff in china to? why so much more expensive?!mage wrote:boss really needs to take a clue from behringer. They're making a buck off of cloning all their discontinued analog pedals. DM-2 Delay, DC-2 Chorus, etc... Boss/Roland need to bring back the analog, it's so obvious that that shit would sell.

Probably because they say "Boss" on them.sp3k wrote:mage wrote:boss really needs to take a clue from behringer. They're making a buck off of cloning all their discontinued analog pedals. I agree that Boss should start making their analogue pedals again though. That would be wicked.
Mustang. Isn't it.
very nice info, thanks.
IMO behringer pedals are nice, but there's plenty bad stories about them in the internetz, so i'd be cautious with 'em.
and i have a question.
does anybody have any idea if the DM100 (distortion modeller) is an analogue or digital thing? as it clones a digitech pedal, whos name (digitech) implies digital.. so, is it the answer? never had any digitech pedal.
if it is analogue, i might get one for like 17$ used - would be hadny to have, and it's so cheap anyway. but if it's digital, i'm afraid behringer effect designers might put some awful ADC/DAC there (or else why would it be so cheap?), making the pedal useless.
