its completely finished now, but the camera won't upload the pictures.
so...
check this shit out.
the rythem switch was upside down, i thought "this is wierd"
so upon further inspection i noticed that the neck pup has plastic coated wires.
![Image](http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g126/Fender96jag/IMG_4336.jpg)
but it looks old, shit has got to be from the late 60's like 67-69, cuz it has aged just the same at the bridge pup wich looks exactly the same.
![Image](http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g126/Fender96jag/IMG_4338.jpg)
here is a shot of the rythm section, the solder looks clean.
![Image](http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g126/Fender96jag/IMG_4337.jpg)
and here is a shot of the neck pocket, remember this is a 62 jag, nothing is changed cept the nut and the neck pup.

that is a good 2.5 mm gap
mo got to play this beat and was amazed at it(its his first jaguar he has ever played, lucky bastard!)
im reluctant to give it up, but i know its not mine so.....

I never want to hear about pre-CBS quality again. Isn't it weird that nobody would buy a $150 squier with a gap that wide, but they'd pay $2,500 for a Fender just cause it's 46 years old?
I'll post a picture of my '57 U-1 that sold for half of what that Jag did new, and you have to pry the neck out of the fucking joint it's so tight.
Fuck I'm drunk.
Cool guitar, though.

well, i will say that overall feel of the guitar is amazing, and i have seen better pockets on mim guitars.
and the 79 strat i had in here about 2 years ago looked like it was cut by a crackhead.
same with the 78 tele deluxe that i had in my shop about 6 months ago.
these are one of those pictures i will keep around.
especially for the 16 year old that bitches about the 1mm gap on a jm body i made for 40 bucks for them and they put a random no name strat neck on it and demanded thier money back(you know who you are!)
whatcha drinkin on, i got a couple of ipa's

Jack & Cokes since dinner, then a beer at rehearsal, then another beer waiting for and another one while watching Mad Men.
I got some IceHouse, which is like Miller's house brand and the cheapest in the store by half. Actually pretty OK. I gotta stick to the cheap stuff until I get my credit card paid off.

Wow... great Jag!
I love the way the SB flakes off and the yellow shows through.
Never saw THAT big of a gap on a vintage Jag. Looks more like the '77 Strat I had...

Nice! :D The worst neck pocket gap I saw was on a '78 (I think) maple necked Mustang in a shop in NYC, can't remember what it's called, it had a receipt signed by Hendrix though, if anyone knows what the place is called. Anyway, it was fucking hideous, though it wasn't terribly priced, $800 I think.

from my limited knowledge it sounds like post 76-77 they started going severely pear shaped.
i've wittered on about it before enough times, but my 76 mustang is very well built. comparing it to the 72 the quality is exactly the same. the duo-sonic is a different beast entirely, but the neck is incomparable on that thing...
the guy i bought my amp from had a 79 or 80 mustang and said it was a piece of shit.

i had to give it back to the owner last night, so i went ahead and dropped it off at the music store.
funny part is rick the owner said, "man, they were just in here, glad you missed em, i want to get to play this thing for a couple days"
we both stared at it and swore to kill him if he ever put humbuckers in it.
so..
here are the final pics.

im going to miss this one alot.
it sucks tho, cuz now all i can think about is owning another jaguar......
