the early 70s ones had pearl guards, then i think around 73 or 74 they changed to plain white, then later all the plastic bits were black, 'reverb handle' tips and all.
and that comment of mine up the page came out as a wee bit bitchier than intended, but this culture of constant modification gets on my nerves at times... i prefer to just leave stuff alone, but that's just me and my opinion, eh?

I like the burst and it seems kind of "out of the ordinary" from what everyone else plays and owns.

'73 - mine is a 73 and it's plain white.
