i've only really found it useful for classical stuff and for burying under fuzz pedals.

I like keeping that in reserve for fuzz - lots of fuzzes (octave fuzz especially) like a dark, tone-rolled-off signal - dead handy I reckon.
As I type this I've remembered you're not a fan of fuzz.

ironic as he makes so many awesome fuzz pedals
cheers on the purchase Mike, must be a bummer to sell that beautiful mustang, but i would rather have the duo > the stang seeing as how much work you put into it

am i the only one that loves the rythm circut?
i used to switch with avri jag all the time, hell i even wrote a song based on using the rythm circut for the verse and the normal circut with both pups on for the chorus.
oh well.
i don;t even have a jag anymore so i can't say much.

Nice Jag mike... we have one in our work place exactly the same. I'm beginning to take a liking to the flat radius neck.
I think because of that and the tuno it has a Gibson-like feel... but certainly as players guitar I think it's a good call. No duff notes when bending !!

Pleased you like it and the burst looks lush on yours !!
Quite tempted by the black & tort jazzy we have in too... I'm not sure aesthetically I'm totally happy with the plate being pushed in towards the bridge... but the more I see it and play it the less it bothers me. So maybe... just maybe it may happen.
We have the jazzy (same for jag?) at £599... which is pricey... although I could get some discount on that.
I'm just pleased Fender are thinking about other models other than the strat & tele.

Mike, have to say that looks and sounds excellent - nice purchase and demo!
Only problems I had with my CIJ jag were the crappy pickups and the high radius fretboard; with both of those things sorted this is definitely a killa guitar.

HOW DID I MISS THIS THREAD?
I understand the whole not getting a vintage deal, and this a great conclusion. I like burst on the jag shape. Always works well with the chrome. How do you feel about the adjustomatic bridge?
Congratulations dude!

I must say she's quite a beau, and a slick addition to the family! The
kurdtzle circle is now complete.
Like Fredo, I'm very curious as to how you feel about the ajustormatick T-H-O-M bridge.

The Adjustomatic or FenderTOM is really nice, I like it. I think for someone like me who is quite heavy handed on the strumming hand that it's a massive improvement - it does still buzz on large smacks, it's the intonation screws in their bushings that are vibrating when that happens, but it's not audible through an amp and doesn't bother me a jot. I think the higher break angle and the bridge make this a much more suitable Jaguar for my needs.

proof that sunburst does not photo well.
the tort looks pretty nice on it, altho some pics show it dark and some show it being more bright.
