i hadn't seen too many that were really disappointing until i came across these bad boys. also, the second version of the "bullet" single hum'r has the exact same neck. they feel like playing a guitar hero controller. GREEN GREEN RED BLUE BLUEGREENYELLOW!!!!11

i'll spend more on a neck than i will the entire strat!
better off buying a body + neck eh?

or just getting a decent used MIM. i know i know, no daphne or surf, but you could paint it. my MIM actually came with a mint pg, and i got it for a hair over $200. 60's classic players MIM come in some sort of baby blue.

PS - didn't you have a dubl-hmbkr tele body and neck you were working on?

indeed i do
i'm a lazy fucker though, till looks like this
► Show Spoiler
have stuff for it
1 meg pots
orange drop caps
black switch
wire
bridge + saddles

needs tuners, paint, pickups, knobs... to sand, fill, prime, paint, clear coat fuck thats a lot of effort lol

but i figure with this i can spend 200 and not bother w/ painting anything

i have never played a bullet and for all i know it sucks, but i have tried out the low end squiers (like $99-$149) and the necks are fine imo. i actually like the necks very much but i like really cheap guitars in general.

anyway try going to the local guitar store and try out those cheap squiers in the same price range and you might find that the neck is adequate for you. just instead of a bullet, it would be a normal squier strat or whatever.

get the guitar before you start planning things like replacing the neck and such. seriously, so many people talk shit on these things and 90% of the time it's total bullshit. get the guitar first and then see what you need to replace. I'm thinking a bridge and some pickups should be pretty much it. you can fuss with the little details later.

man, i'm not talking shit, i ACTUALLY own a neck that is identical to the necks on these. indonesian squier. they play ok, but look like shit, and i would not put any trust in the fucker to stay straight for very long with much misuse. the fretboard on the one i have looks like someone used petrified dinosaur shit. (i did not get it from the guy who has the dino shit knobs)

of course, play it, and judge for yourself, but look out for it. s'all i'm sayin.

PM me if you want my LPB 86 MIJ squier. It'll beat the pants off any MIM or korean/chinese/indonesian squier you'll likely find.

sorry, guess I overlooked the "mojo for under 150" part of the OG message.

I would want 300 shipped.

On the plus side, put those lace sensors in and you are good to go. No need to change the trem, its already big block style. And it comes with OHSC and "monogrammed" fender strap (which I think may have come with these.) And all the other hardware is better as well, tuners especially.

I was thinking about putting lace sensors and tort on it, but I may sell it instead. I go back and forth.

The bridge pickup seems to be dead.

I'll just comfirm that it's dead.

Affirmative, I played it, it was dead.

DISCLAIMER: the 300 shipped is maybe risky, considering international representation on this forum. lets say 275 + shipping, instead, worldwide, to be safe. sorry.

PM me if anybody's interested, otherwise I will make a post later in classifieds for this one, to keep from potentially hijacking haze's thread. sorry man.

quite like the tort though, although a lot of people have some random hate for blue-n-tort
