yeah, the red ones look WAYYY better than the sunburst ones with that godawful tiger-stripe-tort. that's actually a really awesome looking guitar.

Aren't there models of these with really penissy looking headstocks?
I seem to remember this from another Framus Thread...
I'm glad you didn't get one with a penis-stock.

NO I WAS WRONG.
I looked it up and I was wrong.
I remembered seeing Framus(ses) with unnusual headstocks and for some reason, unnusual became synonymous with cock in my mind.

I fucking love the art deco headstocks on some of the Framus models, still, good job on not getting a cock-stock. Whatever that means.

ok, tried it out at rehearsal last night. it's got a higher output than any of my fenders, probably closer to the hagstrom II in sound. quite crunchy. i think i might have to tweak the truss rod a bit, the action is higher than i prefer but if i lower it much more it'll start buzzing on the lower frets.
anyway, here's a few pics-
► Show Spoiler
out of the box, and pretty filthy...
now all sparkly shiny!
some pics of the innards in poor light... it was dark when i dismantled it.
the pickups are massive, they're like U-boats in a dry dock!
trem- quite simple but reasonably effective.
bizarro neck joint.
will try a demo at some point today if i can be bothered rigging it all up. it'll be utilitarian if i do, but hey ho.

Keen :D I find those to be a bit ugly, but I think that if I had one it'd grow on me, especially if it played nicely. Look forward to hearin' :}

Yes, the germans know how to make guitars. Not only built lika a tank, also armored like one

The Body Form is quite Similar to a Framus Atlantic from 1969 I seen in a shop recently, but the Atlantic is a thinline Hollowbody. Looks really cool. And much less metal.

It sort of works together in the same way an old person's house decoration does. None of the chairs match and the carpet and wallpaper (covered in floral patterns) clash horribly, yet it all fits somehow.
Those pickups are HUGE.

haha, the old granny chair it's sitting on probably adds to the eye-watering effect.

In Berlin, eh? You should take a drive down to the Framus Museum in Markneukirchen. Some crazy shit there.
