With all due respect, what is forward design to you?

The feel of these are nothing like Italias or Danelectros. They're really solid, more like a Gretsch solidbody.

At the very least something enhancing modern times. To me, these douchenbourg guitars have that 50's american diner/chevvy look about them... its fucking boring. Old hat. Can we possibly embrace now? Instead of looking back? To me that is where music fails, its always rose tinted glasses looking back at some 'great', music needs new greats and we are the generation. Do you understand that? Or do you want to be the next Elvis or Hendrix? It seems obvious to me but no one else see's it, maybe i should resign myself to the fact that i will always be a wannabe?
Do you get me nick?

That's not what I was asking. I was asking what forward design meant to you.
I already know what it doesn't mean. But looks and sound are something that to me are either pleasant or unpleasant. Music/style is either dated or it isn't to me. It should make you say "cool" when you first hear/see it. Music seems to automatically evolve as a whole every once in a while, but really it's all ever-changing. It's hard to imagine any music that isn't derived somewhat from something else. I would go so far as to say it's impossible to break music down and rebuild it from the ground up without making it sound at least something like something that's already been done before. I'm not talking about copying one artist/band or being "the next" anything (although I know quite a few bands that do just that).
It's almost like saying that people should invent more colors that aren't on the color wheel. There might be a billion different shades out there but you're not going to pull a 4th primary color out of your ass.

I'd like to see a guitar that looks like a Glock or a Nike Air Max, all kind of neat colors made from injection molded plastics.
They had some injection molded plastic guitars called SWITCH but they were fucking ugly, and none of them looked like anything new. They looked like 80's rejects.
