interesting link. The one my friend owns is one with rosewood fretboard and classic fender style headstock, but shouldn't be an '85. It was bought new in the 90ties.

What's wrong with the neck on it?
Other than the headstock shape,the only thing some people may not like about it are the vintage(62) specs:small frets,7.5" fretboard radius and the neck has to be removed to adjust the trussrod.Or maybe they don't like the vintage glossy finish on the neck.These are all things I like about this neck.Except the trussrod access,issue.that I don't like,but I can live with.

Billie Joe Armstrong's first guitar was a Fernandes strat copy he named "Blue". He made replicas of it but they're Fender strats now.

The headstock is offensive, but i learned with the Cort HBS... If its a good neck then keep it, sometimes you have to overlook aesthetics and step up to say fuck y'all... this guitar rules.
Srsly dude, you got a nice guitar there, if the neck is good keep it.

Thanks! There is an 80's Fernandes "The Revival" Strat on ebay. I'm curious to see what it sells for.

cool strat! how does it sound?
the pickups in my 86 squier MIJ sound kind of anemic. none of the spank, sparkle, mojo, balls, oomph, push, drive, sizzle, warmth, depth, or texas cooking of some of the other strats ive played.

They sound ok but maybe I will get some better pick ups at some point,I't might be fun to go all out and turn it into a cool custom strat
like this guy did with the same guitar For right now,I'll just leave it as is.
Which gold Fender color is this closest to? Firemist Gold Metallic?
