I can't remember where, but I read an article compairing this one to he NYC and they got the same tonez.

It's probably just the NYC version.

I think it is just the NYC version.

It is. But it sounds a lot better than a normal version with the two added options engaged

So it's the same as the NYC big box and not the little big muff?
I remember the two having subtle differences.

Yeah, it's the NYC basic circuit allegedly. All the circuits have slight differences (for example the NYC version has smaller value emitter gain setting resistors which make it more saturated than a Green muff), it's amazing how differently they all sound. I'm a Green Muff fan personally.

only checked these demos just now
fucking weird, i have a nyc big muff and like the sounds i can get out of it tho it's limited, but in these demos of the new big muff... i don't like the sound of it... could be just the demos like maybe i would like it irl since i like the NYC muff...

also that green big muff at doogfest sounded GREAT. no doubt. i like the nyc one just fine but i can miss it on my board, if i'd have a green one like that it would be more difficult to stay away from it.

Its a "modded" NYC big muff. Notice on the pedal there is no "little" written on it. It looks bigger, almost the same size as the original.

I like the Ram's head muff myself. The Green one is supposed to be the closest to the Ram's head. But I don't think it's that great, from the one's I heard. But there are also different green ones, it's not as simple as everyone says on the forums.
There are Black Sovtek boxes with the "green circuit" and also differences with the green ones.
I like my Dod Classic Fuzz which is a big muff style pedal. I don't know what version of the circuit it's based on but it sounds good.
I have an NYC Muff and I never use it ever.

I never used my NYC when I owned it. It had terrible bypass (seriously, tone control rolled down 2 notches was the effect it had on the bypassed signal) and it wasn't loud, only just unity at max volume, which is stupid for a dirt pedal. The Green ones I build are much, much louder, less saturated and have a more full and open sound. That's why I like them - I fell in love with that sound from hearing NickD's at Doogfest and it's the same in the pedals I make from what I can remember.
I'm not really hung up on how super accurate they are as long as they sound good, I build them and do a series of transistor swaps until I get the right sound.

Yes, it does, I was just referring to the base circuit
the switches are the main selling point
