I'm not suggest that by any means. I'm just saying he was able to use it in an 'on-the-spot' scenario after minimal instruction - so it can't be too difficult to use if you have the manual and some time.

I'd say that's pretty shit in terms of guitar gear ergonomics. I could use the Looper on my DD-20 without instruction.

i agree with mike, i have it, love it, but it isn't easy to use, it's too much going on in a small box andi'd rather have it laid out as a double pedal for an easier interface.

You can tell it's clearly a good pedal, both Doog and DeMarco have done awesome stuff with it, but I'm a bit dumb when it comes to working things like that out. The footswitching in particular was a mystery.

My big hit at the Doogfest was Euan's RT-20. That thing sounds fantastic

I know I'm weighing in on this way late, but I own the RC-20 and the only thing that I really like about it is the fact that you can save different loops on it. The looping function doesn't always track up quickly enough compared to say a DL4. I think you'll like the Akai headrush a lot more than you'll like either of the boss loopers, get some of those Don Cab styles going on.

Thanks all - as previously posted, went for the Headrush in the end. Typically, I quite fancy one for myself now.

Go round to the wee'un's house on Christmas day to show him how to use it and sit hogging it all day. That's what I'd do.

I own and love my Jamman, never let me down yet, much more capacity than the two mentioned, FWIW...

I found the headrush did not work so well with distortion, i had to spend a lot of time balancing the volumes and then it was'nt effective. Works great with clean guitar though.
