the price tag of 699 was the list price that House of Guitars wanted for the guitar back in 1996. HOG never puts sale prices on anything, only list. its your job as the buyer to ask if its on sale. that thing sat there at HOG for 699 until i bought it from them around 2004 for 350. it had the chip in it when i bought it and the saddles were rusted, actually all the hardware was rusted. that guy replaced the pickups and saddles, put some ugly white paint in the chip on the back bottom horn and jacked the price up 300 bucks. so yea that price tag is 12 years old. im the first owner of the guitar and babied the shit out of it. I had to sell it to pay for a new wedding ring. ( i lost mine in Lake Erie)

It only takes a couple of idiots to get the price up there, but a grand seems a little far fetched.
