Do not want 5-way and volume pot under my hand when picking. Nor sunburst. Nor non-alligned Jazzy pickup polepieces.

In short, do not want.

i have seen something similer to this before.
Could y ou put a locking nut in place with the bullet truss rod?

I quite like it in a grotty way. Kind of like a Les Paul, I'd have it, but wouldn't gig it.

or do you mean, becuz its there can it be put there. i see no reason why not.
its just a matter of breaking off the wood bits behind the normal fender nut and filing it down.
do the 79 anniversary strats have a bullet rod?

I love JM pickups... in the neck position. Bridge position they are still better than Strat pickups, but not as nice as Tele pickups. (Of course, that has a lot to do with the bridge/trem setup).

I like this guitar and wouldn't mind playing it out.
