Well I feel suitably shunned.
Ain't no shunning about it, dude- I'm still up for doing some stuff, Mike G was just more insistant to start jamming early on..

He's got a fucking postfix. How am I going to compete with that?

Notice how it's Mike G. That makes you Mike. The original. The best. Pour homme. Calvin Klein.

i think the manual explains how the functions work reasonably well, but it's always pretty unpredictable. i kind of wish i'd spent a bit longer getting to grips with it.

So, in what is fast becoming the joint new amp thread, brought to you by HTV West, I have just ordered my Matamp (sold the Dano over at Offset): white cab with Oxblood grille (trust Mrs Benecol to like the only fabric choice with a £30 surcharge...), greenback, nickel metalwork, white beading round the grille, Series 2000 knobs and aesthetics, and a pink jewel if possible, otherwise green.

I am so excited.

Rough price? Is this a Custom job or an extension of the MiniMat2?

Their website is beyond pathetic considering what they charge for amplifiers.

Nah you included the manual with the pedal. As much as it describes the functions, it isn't as simple as gain, bass, middle, treble and volume.

It's a Minimat 2 built into a 1x12 cab: should weigh in at a hair under £500 - not bad considering it's built (and to an extent voiced) to order; customer service so far has been excellent - had three 30 minute+ plus phonecalls with Jeff Matamp (comedy Northern bastard) sussing out what I'm after and what they can do, plus they're only charging me standard production model prices even though it's effectively a custom job.

And yes, the website is pretty outdated - there's apparently an updated version in the offing.

Fair enough.

So, it's ordered, and a deposit paid. Spec runs as follows;

Mimimat 2 combo built into a 1x12 cab, white levant vinyl with an oxblood speaker grille and a white tadpole, 12" greenback, kept the valve boost rather than got reverb, green jewel (no pink ones), white control plate and logo plate on front panel, oldskool 'underscore" Matamp logo, medium sized knobs nicked off a Series 2000. Should be done by the end of January...

What does the white tadpole bit mean? Is it the name of the company who make the speaker?

Naw Greenback means its Celestion.

The tadpole is the beading between the speaker baffle and the cab.

Ah I get you. The name makes sense now too.
